The internet should be a fun, safe space for children to explore, engage with friends and learn more about the world around them. However, we know all too well that this is often not the case and there are many forms of harm they may encounter online.
In response to the growing and changing dangers children face online, the Local Safeguarding Children Partnerships (LSCPs) in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton have launched the Lurking Trolls campaign. Designed for 7 to 11 year olds, it aims to build digital resilience through books, cartoons and fun learning tools for children, teaching resources for schools, and information for parents and carers. Primary schools in Portsmouth will have received books this week and details on how to access the resources – but if you have any queries, would like to order more books or find out more about the campaign, please contact email@example.com.
